Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding marine environments, the Phoenix Smart IP43 24/25(1+1) 230V charger from Victron Energy is a battery management solution. This model features two separate outputs: a main 25 A output for the 24 V service battery, and a secondary output limited to approximately 4 A for the starter battery. This 1+1 configuration sets it apart from the (3) models in the same range that offer three full-power outputs, positioning this charger for installations requiring the maintenance of two separate banks with priority given to the service battery.
Adaptive charging algorithm and advanced connectivity
The charger integrates a 6-stage adaptive charging algorithm (bulk, absorption, reconditioning, float, storage, refresh) optimized for various battery types, including LiFePO₄ batteries. The absorption time is automatically adjusted based on the depth of discharge, preventing overcharging during shallow discharges and ensuring a full charge after deep discharges. The BatterySafe mode prevents excessive gas release by limiting voltage increase, while the Storage mode reduces float voltage after 24 hours of inactivity to minimize aging and electrolyte stratification. The charger automatically compensates for DC cable voltage drop by slightly increasing output voltage as current increases.
Monitoring and control via Bluetooth and VE.Direct
Equipped with integrated Bluetooth Smart technology, the Phoenix Smart IP43 24/25(1+1) allows wireless configuration, monitoring, and control via the VictronConnect app. This connectivity also enables firmware updates and synchronization with other Smart IP43 chargers via the VE.Smart network for improved charging efficiency. A VE.Direct interface is also present for wired connection to a GX device such as the Cerbo GX, offering remote real-time reading capabilities via the VRM portal. A programmable relay and remote on/off function complete its system integration capabilities.
