Designed for marine applications requiring substantial autonomy, the Victron Energy SuperPack 12.8 V 200 Ah lithium battery (SKU: BAT512120705) provides an energy storage solution with integrated management.
Integrated management system and performance
Its internal battery management system (BMS) protects against overcharging, deep discharge, and extreme temperatures, ensuring automatic disconnection when limits are exceeded. With a nominal capacity of 200 Ah at 25 °C and an energy rating of 2560 Wh, this battery delivers a maximum continuous discharge current of 70 A and a peak current of 100 A for 10 seconds. Its round-trip energy efficiency of 92 % surpasses lead-acid batteries, which typically reach around 80 %. Its lifespan is estimated at 2500 cycles at 80 % depth of discharge (DoD) and 25 °C. Unlike lead-acid batteries, it does not suffer premature degradation from partial charges or deficit operation.
Installation and positioning in the range
The 12.8/200 model is designed for simplified installation, requiring no additional external components. It can be connected in parallel to increase capacity, but series connection is not permitted. Operating temperatures are -20 °C to +50 °C for discharge and 0 °C to +45 °C for charging, with automatic charge cutoff below 0 °C for recent models (from serial number HQ2040). Equipped with M8 connection terminals, its dimensions are 208 x 520 x 269 mm for a weight of 21 kg.
