Detailed description
Detailed description
The Acu-Test Pack (Analog 4-20mA) FT055 from FT Technologies is designed to test, evaluate, and modify the settings of analog output FT wind sensors. It allows interfacing sensors with a computer for diagnostics and configuration.
Pack contents and compatibility
This pack includes the FT055 cable and the FT Acu-Vis software. The FT055 test cable supports the following wind sensors:
- FT702LT/D Wind Sensors (4-20mA) versions V20 and V22
- FT722-A and FT742-A Sensors (FF, PM, DM, and DM50 variants) 4-20mA
Each cable is identified by a unique serial number and manufacturing date to ensure traceability.
Required items not included
To use the Acu-Test FT055 pack, the following equipment is required and not included:
- An analog output FT wind sensor.
- A power supply: a laboratory power supply of 12-30 VDC (current limit up to 4A), or the FT062 power supply (24 VDC) which requires a regional C13 mains power cord.
- A multimeter (ammeter, voltmeter, or oscilloscope) to measure sensor current loops, OR a compatible computer.
Acu-Vis Software features
The Acu-Vis software, compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11, provides a means to test the wind speed and direction functionality of analog FT sensors. It also allows modifying settings related to heating, filters, and direction offsets.
Installation considerations
Any connection or disconnection of sensors or power during operation, or incorrect wiring of power leads, may damage the equipment and is not covered by FT Technologies's standard warranty conditions.
