Three references to distinguish before choosing

Sensor alone or FT743 kit?

The FT743-D-SM and the kit FT743-D-SM KIT-1.5 are two distinct offers. Check the packaging details before comparing the overall cost. The name « kit » does not mean that all elements for your installation are included.

The manufacturer's data sheet FT009 describes a connection cable for FT74X-SM, with one end having bare wires. This is not proof that the commercial kit contains all necessary adapters, protections, fasteners, or test equipment. Data sheet FT009, 9000579 Rev A01.

One technology, several possible installations

Acoustic resonance is an ultrasonic approach different from time-of-flight. This distinction explains the sensor's principle; it is not sufficient to designate a model for a sailboat, a fixed station, or a mobile platform. Principle Acu-Res explained by FT.

For a boat, start with the expected data, mounting, and receiving electronics. For a fixed measurement, also examine the installation and data acquisition. For wind power or a drone, the specifications must identify the intended variant: an application cited by the manufacturer does not make all its references interchangeable.

Cables, connectors and test equipment

Choose each accessory based on the sensor's reference, its interface, and its manual. A cable intended for one variant is not automatically suitable for another. Similarly, « Acu-Test » designates test equipment to be selected according to the interface, not a universal pack for the entire range.

Cables and associated equipment remain accessible in the grid. A Bulgin connector retains its brand: its presence in this collection does not transform it into an FT Technologies product and does not validate an association solely by its title.

Before Ordering

Gather the exact reference, receiver interface, desired configuration, mounting, cable length and termination, power supply, and list of included items. If a compatibility point remains open, have it confirmed before purchase. Prices and availability information remain on the product pages; this page does not announce any lead times.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the FT602, FT742, and FT743 have the same outputs?

No. Reference FT742-A-DM is analog. Documents FT602-D-SM and FT743-SM describe other interfaces and formats, to be verified with their configuration. The family name is not sufficient.

Does the FT743 kit contain everything for my installation?

Do not assume so. Check the exact contents of the pack and the needs of the receiver system. A cable data sheet does not prove the complete inventory of a commercial kit.

Are there documents in French?

French data sheets for FT602, FT742-DM, and FT743-SM are in the verified documentation folder. Consult the manufacturer's directory and check the model and revision; a translation does not replace the manual for another variant.

Is Acu-Test equipment suitable for all FT models?

Not by default. The pack reference and its interface must match the sensor. Check the equipment documentation before associating it.
