Designed for demanding environments, the FT Technologies FT743-SM ultrasonic anemometer uses patented Acu-Res® technology to provide reliable wind data. This digital surface-mount sensor measures wind speed and direction with data availability greater than 99,9 %, even in the presence of significant vibration or electrical noise. Its corrosion-resistant, IP67 sealed anodized aluminum casing incorporates a heating system to ensure performance in extreme conditions.

Integration and Power Supply
The FT743-SM features a universal M12 8-pole circular connector for input/output. It operates with a supply voltage of 6 V to 30 V DC, supporting battery operation with reduced heating capacity. Current consumption is 26 mA without heating and can reach 2 A with heating activated, for a maximum power of 60 W at 30 V.
The RS422 (full-duplex) and RS485 (half-duplex) digital interfaces allow flexible integration. Data is available in ASCII format, in polled or continuous output modes, and supports Polar and NMEA 0183 formats. The data update frequency is 10 Hz. The sensor includes error management with an indicator for invalid readings and an overspeed warning disabled by default if the wind exceeds 75 m/s.
