40-foot (12.15 m) monohull, David Raison design, built byGepeto Composite in Lorient La Base. Launched onApril 26, 2024. Direct successor to Class 40 #158 (Raison 2019, first scow of the class), sharing the Crédit Mutuel program.
Compared to #158, the hull has been stretched along the centerline with more forward beam to plane earlier and reduce bow diving when reaching.
Structural innovation: threelongitudinal bulkheads (« keelsons ») running from bow to stern, from hull to deck, replacing part of traditional transverse bulkheads. The boat is divided into three longitudinal sections; improved impact resistance from slamming at comparable structural weight.
Winner of the2nd Globe 40 (2025–2026), a double-handed Class 40 round-the-world with stops, raced over 6 legs plus a prologue, final finish in Lorient on April 15, 2026. First scow to complete a round-the-world race.
Skippered by Ian Lipinski, with Antoine Carpentier as main crew, relieved by Amélie Grassi then Alan Roberts over several legs:
Summary:5 leg victories (including prologue) plus one tied leg, ahead of Belgium Ocean Racing–Curium (2nd overall, Jonas Gerckens / Benoît Hantzperg).
The boat is entered in the Route du Rhum–Destination Guadeloupe 2026, concluding Act 2 of the partnership with Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale.
