On the Class 40 Swift, Skysat completed a full installation: Pixel + B&G as the primary system, B&G secondary system, Empire Bus data switch, as well as the solar power system and ancillary equipment.

Mach 40.6 #206 — Leonard project / Trigger

Class40 designed by Sam Manuard, built by JPS Production in La Trinité-sur-Mer and launched in 2024 (hull number 206). Owner and main skipper: Greg Leonard (USA), former owner of the Mach 40.3 Kite #144. Co-main skipper: Jack Trigger (GBR, Trigger Racing). Depending on the race, the crew also includes Hannes Leonard, Timothy Rogers, or Miranda Merron.

Platform — Mach 40.6

Sixth iteration of the Mach 40 lineage (Manuard / JPS), featuring a wide scow bow and hull optimized for reaching angles. Length 12.19 m, beam 4.5 m, draft 3 m, displacement 4 500 kg.

Program — Type 1 diabetes awareness

The co-piloted program with Jack Trigger supports his Type 1 diabetes awareness campaign (Trigger is a Diabetes UK ambassador and aims for the Vendée Globe). Skipper details: see the Jack Trigger profile.

Swift achievements

  • 2024 — 1st Class40 in the SSE Renewables Round Ireland (4 days 20 hours 17 minutes 47 seconds; 2 Class40s classified).

  • 2025 — 9th in the CIC Normandy Channel Race.
  • 2025 — 19th overall at Les Sables–Horta (Leonard single-handed).
  • 2025 — 9th in the Rolex Fastnet Race.
  • 2025 — Class40 Division champion of the RORC Season's Points Championship.
