Yves Le Blevec

Born on July 15, 1965, in Palaiseau, Yves Le Blévec has climbed all the rungs of offshore racing, from the Mini 6.50 to the Ultim giants. Originally from the Parisian suburbs, he began in sailing as an apprentice worker in a La Rochelle shipyard and a sailing instructor after his baccalaureate. It was at the age of 35 that he transitioned to a career as an offshore racer by participating in his first Mini-Transat in 2001.

His record reflects remarkable progress: winner of the Mini Transat 2007 solo, winner of the Jules Verne Trophy in 2002 alongside Bruno Peyron on Orange in 64 days, and winner of the Transat Jacques Vabre 2011 in Multi50 with Samuel Manuard. In Mini 6.50, he won the annual points classification in 2001 and several major races. On the trimaran Actual in Multi50, he achieved consecutive victories at the Grand Prix de Douarnenez and the Vendée-Saint-Pétersbourg in 2010.

Moving to Ultim in 2016 with a third place in his first solo English Transat, Yves Le Blévec became skipper of Actual Leader in 2018. A double winner of the Jules Verne Trophy and an accomplished sailor on all multihull classes, he embodies expertise and perseverance in ocean sailing. In January 2023, he handed over the reins to Anthony Marchand and took over the general management of Team Actual, ending his high-level skipper career.
