The 2018 Route du Rhum trimaran in new colors
Les P'tits Doudous is a Ocean 50 (ex-Multi 50) trimaran measuring 15 meters, skippered by Armel Tripon. This is the same boat that shone under the Réauté Chocolat colors — Tripon at the helm, winner of the Multi 50 class in the Route du Rhum 2018 (3rd overall). Designed by Guillaume Verdier, equipped with foils during a refit in 2017.
A charitable project: Les P'tits Doudous
The project is led by the Les P'tits Doudous association, which supports children in hospitals. Armel Tripon uses offshore racing as a communication and fundraising tool for the association, bringing comfort to sick children through the distribution of comfort items and playful activities in hospitals.
Armel Tripon, committed skipper
Born on August 11, 1975, in Nantes, Armel Tripon began his career in the Mini 6.50 class (winner of the Mini Transat 2003), before progressing through Figaro, Class 40, Ocean 50, and IMOCA. The victory at the 2018 Route du Rhum in the Multi 50 class marked a high point in his multihull career.
