The ICOM IC-M25EURO portable VHF is a compact, lightweight, and high-performance marine radio designed for intuitive use and uncompromising reliability. Weighing just 220g, it is one of the lightest floating VHFs on the market, making it ideal for tender use, kayaking, or as a safety device in a grab bag.
Performance and visibility: Float'n Flash
One of the IC-M25EURO’s standout features is its Float'n Flash function. If the radio is dropped in the water, it not only floats but also emits a flashing red LED, significantly improving visibility both day and night. This active signaling is a major advantage over older or entry-level models that lack such a feature.
Battery life and simplified charging
Equipped with a 1500 mAh lithium-ion battery, the IC-M25EURO delivers approximately 11 hours of use in standard mode. Its key innovation is a micro-B USB charging port. This universal connection allows charging with the same chargers as smartphones or other electronic devices (cigarette-lighter chargers, power banks, etc.), eliminating the need for a bulky proprietary charger.
Robust and ergonomic design
Certified to IPX7 waterproofing standards, this VHF can withstand immersion to 1 meter for 30 minutes. The AquaQuake™ function enhances this protection by emitting a vibration to expel water from the speaker grille, ensuring clear audio even after immersion. Its large LCD screen and well-spaced buttons provide excellent readability and ease of use, even with gloves.
