Description détaillée
Description détaillée
The Simrad HS40 wireless handset is the essential accessory for remotely controlling your fixed Simrad RS40 or RS40-B VHF. Designed to provide full mobility on board, it faithfully replicates the display and features of the base station, allowing you to transmit, receive, and access critical navigation data from the cockpit, flybridge, or foredeck.
High-performance and secure wireless communication
Using the 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz) wireless connection standard, the HS40 handset ensures a stable link with an impressive range of up to 70 meters in line of sight. Unlike traditional wired handsets that require complex cable routing through bulkheads, this solution offers the flexibility of a true "Plug & Play" second VHF station. It also includes a very practical intercom function for direct communication with the main station located inside the boat.
Robust marine design and optimized battery life
Perfectly suited for demanding marine environments, the handset is IPX7 waterproof certified, protecting it against temporary immersion. It is powered by an internal 3.6 V Li-ion battery with 2050 mAh (5.1 Wh), ensuring long operating autonomy. Charging is intelligently handled via magnetic induction by simply placing the device on its dedicated base charger, powered by the boat’s 12 V DC system, eliminating the risk of connector oxidation.
Full control over advanced functions
From the handset’s monochrome backlit LCD screen, the user maintains control over all safety and navigation functions of the VHF. This includes triggering ASN (DSC) Class D distress calls, managing channels, and viewing AIS targets (when paired with the RS40-B version). Its market positioning places it as a direct equivalent to the B&G H60, offering the same technological reliability from the Navico group but optimized for the Simrad ecosystem on motorboats and runabouts.
