Electric pumps: controlled water on board

Marine electronics isn't just for navigation. Water management, whether it's bilge water drainage, freshwater supply, or fuel transfer, relies on reliable and efficient electric pumps. Skysat, drawing on its experience in offshore racing, offers a carefully curated selection of pumps, sized to meet the demands of the marine environment.

Here you will find automatic and manual bilge pumps, pressurized freshwater pumps, transfer pumps, and related accessories. Our goal: to help you choose the pump best suited to your needs and installation.

Bilge pumps: safety and reliability

Essential on board, bilge pumps ensure the rapid and efficient removal of water that seeps into the hull. Choosing the right bilge pump depends on the volume of your boat, the frequency of leaks, and the type of use (racing, cruising).

  • Rule automatic bilge pumps: Equipped with an integrated float or electronic probe, they activate automatically as soon as the water level reaches a critical threshold. Flow rate varies depending on the model, from 500 GPH to 4000 GPH.
  • Whale manual bilge pumps: Simple, robust and independent of any power source, they provide a reliable backup solution in case of power failure.
  • Float switches: For automating a non-automatic bilge pump. Check compatibility with the pump's voltage and amperage.
  • Water level alarms: Audible and visual warning device in case of abnormal rise in water level in the bilge.

Freshwater pumps: comfort and autonomy

Pressurized freshwater pumps provide a water supply system similar to that of a home, with a constant flow rate and regulated pressure. Their sizing depends on the size of the tank, the number of water outlets, and the type of use (shower, sink).

  • Jabsco Freshwater Pumps: Self-priming diaphragm pumps offering constant flow and stable pressure. Available in different versions (12V, 24V) and with variable flow rates.
  • Pressure accumulators: They help reduce pump on/off cycles and improve pressure stability in the fresh water circuit.
  • Water filters: Essential for protecting the pump and ensuring the quality of drinking water. Choose a filter suited to the size of the particles to be removed.
  • Pipes and fittings: Use food-grade pipes and fittings that are resistant to pressure and temperature variations.

Transfer pumps: versatility on board

Transfer pumps allow for the easy transfer of liquids from one tank to another, whether it be water, fuel, or oil. They are particularly useful for filling tanks, draining engines, and transferring fuel between different tanks.

  • Johnson Pump electric transfer pumps: Compact and lightweight, they are ideal for transferring small volumes of liquids.
  • Fuel transfer kits: Comprising a pump, hoses and fittings, they allow for easy transfer of fuel from a jerrycan to a tank.
  • Hand pumps for transfer: A simple and reliable solution, requiring no electrical power supply.
  • Suction strainers: Protect the pump from the suction of debris and prolong its lifespan.

💡 Skysat's advice

Before installation, check the electrical compatibility (voltage) between the pump and your onboard electrical system. A fuse suitable for the pump's amperage is essential to prevent any risk of short circuit and damage to the equipment.
