Detailed description
Designed for demanding marine applications, the AC Antennas RG214U double-shielded RF coaxial cable (30 m) ensures stable and reliable high-frequency signal transmission. This 50 Ohm cable complies with the MIL-C-17F military standard (equivalent to M17/75-RG214), guaranteeing robust construction and precise performance for embedded communication systems.
Technical specifications of the RG214U cable
The AC-CA-RG214U-B-30m cable has a nominal impedance of 50 Ohms and a length of 30 meters. Its central conductor is made of silver-plated tinned copper (7 strands of 0.75 mm), with a diameter of 2.25 mm. The dielectric is solid polyethylene (PE) with a diameter of 7.25 mm. The double shielding consists of two silver-plated tinned copper braids, providing 96% coverage for the first and 98% for the second, ensuring protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radiofrequency interference (RFI).
Reliability and marine applications
With an outer diameter of approximately 10.8 mm, this cable features a non-contaminating PVC (polyvinyl chloride) Type IIA jacket according to MIL-C-17, ensuring resistance to environmental factors such as abrasion and moisture. It supports frequencies up to 6 GHz and a nominal voltage of up to 5 kVrms at sea level. Its operating temperature range is from -40°C to +85°C. The AC Antennas RG214U cable is suitable for telecommunications applications, data transmission, RF communication, radar systems, and 50 Ohm antenna links, including for Furuno equipment requiring reliable connectivity. Its minimum static bending radius is 55 mm.
