Designed for demanding marine environments, the ACR RCL-300A searchlight delivers 1,000,000 candelas of light output. It features two 35 W metal halide HID lamps, each generating over 500,000 candelas. The searchlight operates on 12V-24V DC power, drawing 25 A at startup and 8 A in continuous operation at 12V. Lamp lifespan is approximately 1,000 hours.
Design and Control
The RCL-300A is housed in a cast marine-grade aluminum casing with triple primer and sealing, featuring tempered glass for weather and saltwater resistance. Its internal elevation mechanism protects components from external conditions while providing precise beam height control. Rotation is continuous at 360°, with speeds of 30° per second in fast mode and 10° per second in slow mode. Elevation angle ranges from 15° up to 30° down, at 3° per second. The beam has a 6° angle.
Advanced Features and Integration
The searchlight includes a remote control system with a Point Pad™ (URP-102) and a black Master Control box module (URC-300). Up to three remote Point Pad™ control units can be installed. The exclusive XRCiZ™ function automatically rotates and elevates the light every 30 days to prevent corrosion on rolling surfaces and electrical contacts. An auto-return function repositions the searchlight forward upon power-off.
