B175HW/20 — CHIRP depth sounder 20° single-band 150–250 kHz, 1 kW, through-hull, bronze, depth and temperature

Designed for precise underwater detection, the AIRMAR B175HW/20 is a 1 kW CHIRP through-hull transducer. Suitable for fiberglass or wooden hulls, this bronze transducer features a fixed 20° tilted element optimized for keel angles from 16° to 24°, ensuring horizontal alignment of the ceramic element for maximum echo performance.

Wide-Band CHIRP Technology

The B175HW/20 employs wide-band CHIRP technology, operating across a frequency range of 150 kHz to 250 kHz. This 100 kHz bandwidth delivers superior resolution and improved fish target separation compared to fixed-frequency transducers. Its constant 25° wide beam provides extended coverage under the boat, doubling the scanned area compared to narrow-beam high-frequency transducers. This coverage enhances fish detection in the upper water column and produces sharper screen images.

Features and Installation

With 1 kW of power, the AIRMAR B175HW/20 can reach a maximum depth of 152 meters under ideal water conditions. It includes fast-response depth detection and water temperature measurement. Its low-profile through-hull design requires a 95 mm mounting hole and ensures good resolution at speed. Airmar’s exclusive Xducer ID® technology enables automatic recognition by the fishfinder for optimized settings. This transducer is recommended for boats up to 11 meters in length and comes with a 9-meter cable compatible with 10-pin CHIRP Furuno fishfinders.
