The AIRMAR B785M is a through-hull CHIRP single-band transducer designed for depth detection and rapid water temperature measurement. With a power output of 600 W, it operates on a mid-frequency band of 80 to 130 kHz, providing 50 kHz of bandwidth. This transducer features a bronze housing and a urethane acoustic window, suitable for fiberglass or wooden hulls.
Technical Capabilities and Performance
The AIRMAR B785M achieves a maximum depth of 274 meters (900 feet). Its beam width ranges from 24° to 16°, ensuring detailed seabed detection and improved target separation compared to traditional transducers. The included fairing block optimizes hydrodynamic performance at speeds above 30 knots (34 mph) and allows installation on hulls with a deadrise angle up to 24°.
Integration and Installation
With a 51 mm drilling diameter, the through-hull installation of the B785M is designed for robust integration. It is equipped with a 9-meter Mix and Match (M&M) cable, offering flexible connectivity via specific adapters for various fishfinder brands, including Furuno (compatible with GP1871F and GP1971F). Airmar’s Xducer ID® technology is integrated to display transducer profile information on compatible fishfinders.
