The AIRMAR B45 depth sounder is a compact, cost-effective through-hull transducer rated at 600W, designed for measuring water depth and temperature. Constructed with a bronze housing, it features dual-frequency operation at 50/200 kHz to adapt to various sailing and fishing conditions.
Technical Specifications
The B45 model delivers 600W RMS power. At 50 kHz, it has a 45° beam angle for a maximum range of 366 meters (1200 ft), suitable for deep-water detection. At 200 kHz, the beam narrows to 12° for improved resolution in shallow waters, with a maximum range of 206 meters (700 ft). The transducer includes a fast and accurate temperature sensor with ±0.2°C accuracy.
Designed for through-hull installation, it is compatible with fiberglass or wooden hulls, requiring a 22 mm (7/8") hole. The B45 performs effectively on vessels up to 9 meters (30 ft) LOA, with a maximum keel angle of 26° when a drogue is used. The optional drogue is engineered to optimize water flow and enhance performance, particularly at higher speeds.

The AIRMAR B45 depth sounder is compatible with a range of Furuno multifunction displays and fishfinders, including models GP1871F, GP1971F, FCV628, FCV588, BBDS1, TZTL12F, TZTL15F, TZT2BB, TZT9F, TZT12F, TZT16F, TZT19F, as well as the FCV600, FCV800, TZT2, TZT3, and TZTXL series. Its 22 mm diameter ensures discreet installation while maintaining reliable performance.
