Designed for AIRMAR TRIDUCER® multisensor B744V and B744VL, the Streamlined 0° fairing is an essential accessory to optimize the performance of your marine sensing system. This high-performance fairing allows the sensor to be flush-mounted to the hull, ensuring accurate readings of depth, speed, and temperature, even at speeds above 30 knots (34 MPH). It is specifically designed to compensate for hull angle, ensuring optimal alignment of the transducer beam with the water flow.
Optimizing sensor performance
The AIRMAR 0° streamlined fairing improves the quality of data collected by the B744V and B744VL probes. These sensors, with a power output of 600 W and operating on dual frequencies of 50 kHz and 200 kHz, can reach maximum depths of 353 m (1,200 ft) at 50 kHz and 206 m (700 ft) at 200 kHz. The fairing ensures these performances are maintained by minimizing turbulence and correcting beam tilt for hulls with a deadrise angle of up to 24°.
Integration and compatibility
Installing the streamlined fairing for B744V and B744VL sensors requires a 51 mm (2 in) diameter hole in the hull. The fairing is compatible with fiberglass or wooden hulls and is recommended for boats up to 9 meters (30 ft) in length. By ensuring an optimal sensor position, it contributes to the reliability of speed data from 1 to 45 knots (1 MPH to 52 MPH) and temperature measurements, making the B744V and B744VL sensors ideal for 600 W fishfinders and Furuno navigation systems.
