Detailed description
Detailed description
The Ancor 100' 3/0 AWG tinned copper black cable is designed for demanding marine applications. This 100-foot (30.5-meter) battery cable has a 3/0 AWG (85 mm²) cross-section, ideal for high-current power circuits.
Robust Design and Corrosion Resistance
Made with tinned copper conductor type 3, this cable features 1665 individual 30 AWG strands, offering high flexibility and resistance to vibration. The tinned copper provides protection against corrosion and electrolysis, key factors in marine environments. Its proprietary premium vinyl insulation resists saltwater, battery acid, oil, gasoline, heat, abrasion, and UV rays. It maintains flexibility down to -40°C (-40°F) and is flame-retardant. The cable is rated for 600V AC/DC and supports temperatures of 105°C (221°F) dry and 75°C (167°F) wet.
Performance and Compliance
With a nominal outer diameter of 11/16" (17.5 mm), this cable has a resistance of 0.06 Ohms per 1000 feet. Its weight is 675 lbs (306 kg) per 1000 feet. It exceeds UL 1426, US Coast Guard Charter boat (CFR Title 46), and ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) standards, ensuring reliability for heavy marine applications and primary power distribution.
