Detailed description
Detailed description
The BEP RV TANK SENDER PROBE KIT MC10 ultrasonic tank level measurement kit is designed for accurate liquid level monitoring in recreational vehicle and boat fuel tanks. This kit replaces traditional mechanical probes with a non-contact acoustic technology, offering increased reliability and simplified installation.
Ultrasonic technology and versatile installation
The BEP RV-TSPK uses an ultrasonic sensor that measures liquid levels with 2 mm accuracy up to a tank depth of 2000 mm for water and diesel, or 1100 mm for gasoline. It operates on a 10–32 V DC power range with only 25 mA current draw, making it compatible with most 12 V and 24 V systems. The low-profile housing (20 mm height when mounted) features a standard SAE 5-hole mounting pattern, allowing direct replacement of existing probes. It is compatible with metal and plastic tanks up to 6 mm wall thickness.
Programming and system integration
Unlike the fixed-output BEP resistance probes, the MC10 kit is fully programmable. It supports multiple output profiles: 0–5 V, 240–33 ohms (US standard), 10–180 ohms (European standard), and 10–300 ohms (Vetus). This versatility allows interfacing with any tank monitor, including BEP displays, NMEA systems, or third-party dashboards. Calibration is performed via BEP Marine’s proprietary TS1 software (requires the TS1-PK programming device, sold separately), offering linear or 5-level non-linear configuration to match the tank’s exact shape.
Marine-grade safety and durability
This kit is built for harsh environments. It is ignition-protected to ISO 8846 and flame-resistant per ABYC, US Coast Guard, and ISO10088 standards. Operating temperature range of 4°C to 65°C suits both indoor and outdoor installations. It resists gasoline, diesel, water, and chemical toilet fluids. Compared to traditional BEP resistive probes, this ultrasonic model eliminates fouling and mechanical wear issues, delivering superior long-term reliability.
