Detailed description
Detailed description
The Blue Sea 5045B-BSS compact blade fuse block with 4 circuits is designed for protecting marine electrical circuits. This device integrates four circuits for fast-acting ATO® and ATC® fuses, providing a surface-mount solution for systems requiring reliable and secure power distribution.
Design and Technical Specifications
With its compact design, this fuse block allows cable entry from one side only, optimizing available space on board. It is "Ignition Protected", making it safe for use in gasoline engine compartments, and complies with ABYC/USCG insulation requirements. The bus bars and fuse clips are made of tinned copper for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance. The block accepts ring or spade terminals and is equipped with #8-32 terminal screws with captive lock washers, as well as a #10-32 threaded stud for the main power feed. Its maximum operating voltage is 32V DC, with a maximum amperage of 30A per circuit and 100A per block. Mounting is done using #8 (M4) screws.
Positioning in the Blue Sea Range
The 5045B-BSS model, with its four circuits, is positioned as an option for smaller installations or for adding dedicated circuits compared to its larger sibling, the Blue Sea 5046, which offers eight circuits. While the 5046 is suited for more extensive distribution needs, the 5045 excels where space is limited and a smaller number of circuits is required. This ST-Blade series is a standard solution for circuit protection, recognized for its reliability in marine environments. Standard and custom labels are available separately for clear circuit identification. ATO or ATC fuses are sold separately.
