Detailed description
Detailed description
The Blue Sea MaxiBus 250A busbar (reference 2127-BSS) is designed for current distribution in marine electrical systems. It centralizes and distributes currents up to 250 amperes in a secure and organized manner. This model stands out for its compactness and ability to handle high loads, positioning it as an intermediate solution compared to smaller busbars in the Blue Sea range for lower currents or more complex distribution systems such as circuit breaker panels. It offers an alternative to low-ampere ground or power busbars while remaining simpler than an integrated battery management system like the Blue Sea ML-RBS.
Connectivity and Installation
The MaxiBus 250A is equipped with four 5/16"-18 stainless steel studs, suitable for 5/16" or M8 ring terminals. These studs are supplied with 5/16"-18 stainless steel serrated flange nuts to ensure a reliable electrical connection resistant to vibrations. The unit dimensions are 149.2 mm long by 48.5 mm wide, with a height of 29.5 mm (including 10.2 mm for the busbar body), facilitating integration into confined spaces. Installation is done via holes designed for #10 or M5 screws, simplifying mounting on various surfaces.
Marine Design
Manufactured by Blue Sea Systems, this busbar is designed for the marine environment, offering durability and corrosion resistance thanks to its stainless steel components. Its compact design (91.4 mm pitch between studs) allows for clean cable organization, reducing clutter and the risk of poor contact. Compared to generic solutions, the Blue Sea MaxiBus busbar ensures compliance with marine standards, guaranteeing longevity and sustained electrical performance for onboard applications.
