Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding marine electrical systems, the BLUE SEA ML-ACR 7623-BSS 24V DC automatic charge relay (ACR) provides intelligent management of dual battery banks. With a continuous rating of 500A, 700A intermittent (5 minutes), and 1450A inrush (30 seconds), it ensures reliable power distribution for high-output alternators and large battery banks.
Advanced Technology for Optimal Management
The ML-ACR features Magnetic Latch (ML) technology, delivering extremely low current draw (<13mA continuous, <7.0A during state change), maximizing battery autonomy. It automatically combines batteries when charging voltage exceeds 27.0V for 30 seconds (or 26.0V for 90 seconds) and isolates them if voltage drops below 24.7V for 10 seconds (or 25.5V for 30 seconds), or in case of undervoltage (<19.2V) or overvoltage (>32.4V) to protect the system.
Safety and Flexibility Features
This model includes manual control via a remote Contura switch (PN 2146 included), providing additional safety and manual override capability even without power. Start Isolation (SI) functions protect sensitive electronics from voltage spikes during engine start, while Engine Isolation (EI) allows isolation of two running engines to optimize alternator output. A remote LED indicator provides clear system status (combined, isolated, locked, isolation).
Rugged and Marine-Grade Construction
The BLUE SEA ML-ACR is built with 3/8"-16 (M10) tinned copper studs for maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance, and silver-alloy contacts for high reliability during load switching. It is IP66, CE certified and meets ISO 8846 ignition protection and SAE J1171 requirements, allowing safe installation in gasoline engine compartments. With 100,000 switching cycles, it is designed for long-term durability in extreme conditions. This model outperforms BLUE SEA’s M-ACR (65A) and SI-ACR (120A) series and differs from the ML-ACR Li-Ion version by being optimized for lead-acid/AGM/GEL batteries.
