Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for complete integration of marine and mobile electrical systems, the CZone MI meter interface (80-911-0005-00) enables detailed monitoring of AC and DC power supplies. This device centralizes data from various current and voltage sensors, then broadcasts it over the CZone/NMEA 2000 network, providing a unified view of the vessel’s or vehicle’s energy status.
AC and DC monitoring capabilities
The CZone MI interface features three AC voltage inputs and two AC current inputs, enabling calculation of true RMS power. For DC monitoring, it has three DC voltage inputs and two DC current inputs, with measurement resolution down to 0.1A. These features allow precise calculation of battery capacity in ampere-hours and remaining charge percentage, a critical function for energy management. CZone modules stand out for their modular approach, unlike integrated systems such as some MFDs (multifunction displays) that sometimes include basic monitoring functions. The MI is a dedicated and advanced module for more complex systems.
Integration and robustness
With dimensions of 100 mm (H) x 156 mm (L) x 42 mm (D) and a weight of 281 g, the module is compact. It features IPX5 immersion protection and is ignition-protected, making it suitable for demanding marine environments. The CZone MI simplifies electrical installation by replacing complex wiring with a robust NMEA 2000 network connection. It outputs standard NMEA 2000 power monitoring frames, ensuring broad compatibility with compatible displays and management systems. User-configurable alarm levels can be set for all inputs, providing proactive monitoring. EMC certifications, including IEC EN 60945, IEC EN 61000, FCC Class B, ISO 7637-1, and ISO 7637-2, attest to its compliance with industrial standards for light and commercial vehicles.
