The FURUNO DFF3-UHD is a high-power TruEcho CHIRP digital black box depth sounder designed for offshore fishing and underwater exploration. This module delivers superior clarity and resolution of seabeds and fish targets, with detection capability down to 5000 meters depth. It is compatible with NavNet TZtouch3 multifunction displays (MFD) (from software version v3) and NavNet TZtouch2 TZT2BB (from software version v9).
Advanced TruEcho CHIRP Technology
Equipped with TruEcho CHIRP™ technology, the DFF3-UHD uses advanced digital signal processing to provide echoes with improved precision and sharpness. It can transmit across a wide CHIRP frequency range, from 25 to 242 kHz, covering low, mid, and high bands. This flexibility enables detailed detection of fish schools and individual targets, as well as precise identification of underwater structures throughout the water column. The DFF3-UHD also supports CW (Continuous Wave) mode in addition to CHIRP.
Power and Depth
With selectable output power of 2 kW or 3 kW, this digital depth sounder ensures increased penetration and better target resolution at significant depths. Its ability to reach up to 5000 meters makes it suitable for demanding marine environments. The FURUNO DFF3-UHD operates on 12-24V DC power, with electrical consumption of 3.0-1.6 A (0.8-0.4 A in standby).
Integration and Robustness
The module connects to the MFD network via Ethernet, ensuring seamless integration with compatible NavNet systems. Its dimensions are 380 x 120 x 299 mm with a weight of 3.6 kg. Designed for marine environments, it features IP55 protection and can operate in temperatures ranging from -15°C to +55°C, ensuring reliability in various conditions.
