DRS12ANXT — Doppler radar without magnetron - 100W (no cable or antenna)

The FURUNO DRS12ANXT is a 100W Doppler beam antenna radar without a magnetron, designed for marine navigation. This solid-state system offers a maximum range of 96 nautical miles and a resolution of 10 meters, enabling precise target detection. Compatible with Furuno NavNet TZtouch, TZtouch2, and TZtouch3 multifunction displays, it integrates via a 100Base-TX Ethernet connection.

Advanced Doppler Technology and Key Features

The DRS12ANXT incorporates advanced functions for improved situational awareness. The Target Analyzer™ technology automatically changes echo colors to indicate danger levels: green for stationary or receding targets, red for approaching ones. Fast Target Tracking™ displays speed and heading vectors of targets within seconds, with the ability to track up to 100 targets simultaneously. This radar also features Bird Mode for locating fishing zones and Rain Mode to isolate rain cells, ensuring optimal clarity in various conditions. Furuno’s RezBoost™ Beam Sharpening enhances beam resolution, providing a sharper and more detailed image. SART and RACON functions, as well as Dual Range, are also supported.

Technical Specifications and Integration

This radar operates on 24VDC power and is compatible with 4- or 6-foot beam antennas (XN12A or XN13A), offering a horizontal beam width of 1.9° (with 4') or 1.35° (with 6'). Its transmission frequency is 9380–9440 MHz. It provides antenna rotation speeds of 24, 36, or 48 rpm (matched to range) or fixed at 24 rpm. The DRS12ANXT withstands temperatures from -25°C to +55°C and has an IP56 waterproof rating. Its weight ranges from 21 to 23 kg depending on the beam antenna selected. It supports IEC61162-1/2 data sentences for input (GGA, GLL, GNS, HDG, HDM, HDT, RMA, RMC, THS, VHW, VTG). Solid-state advantages include no warm-up time, reduced power consumption, and elimination of magnetron replacement. The radar is supplied without cable or antenna; these accessories must be selected separately based on installation requirements.
