FCV600 — TrueEcho CHIRP Fishfinder 5.7"

The FURUNO FCV600 is a 5.7-inch TrueEcho CHIRP™ color fishfinder designed for fish detection and detailed seabed analysis. It features advanced CHIRP technology for precise underwater imaging and improved target separation. With a screen brightness of 1000 cd/m² and a VGA resolution of 640x480 pixels, it ensures clear visibility even in bright sunlight.

TrueEcho CHIRP™ Technology and Advanced Features

The FCV600 uses TrueEcho CHIRP™ technology to emit a frequency-modulated signal over a wide band (40 to 225 kHz), supplemented by traditional CW frequencies (50 and 200 kHz). This approach enables precise detection of schools of fish, individual fish, and underwater structures. The transducer power is configurable at 300 W or 600 W, offering a range of 2 to 1200 meters.

Key features include ACCU-FISH™, which estimates fish size and depth (10 to 199 cm at 2 to 100 meters), and seabed discrimination, which identifies substrate composition (rock, sand, gravel, mud). Furuno’s proprietary RezBoost™ technology enhances the resolution of conventional narrowband transducers, making the image up to 8 times sharper. The color palette extension improves identification of fish close to the seabed, and the White Line function highlights seabed structure. Configurable alarms for depth, fish echoes, speed, and arrival are also available.

Connectivity and Durability

The FURUNO FCV600 includes Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing echo and navigation data to be duplicated on a smartphone or tablet via a dedicated app. It also offers new color palettes, including "Sunlight" and "Yellow," for optimized visibility in various lighting conditions. The unit operates on 12-24 VDC (consumption from 1.0 to 0.6 A) and has an IP56 waterproof rating. It weighs 1.3 kg with the bracket and is designed to operate in temperatures from -15°C to +55°C. It is compatible with CHIRP and CW transducers.
