The FURUNO FI70PK1 multifunction instrument pack is a complete navigation solution designed for sailboats and powerboats. It includes a 4.1-inch color LCD screen, a wind sensor, and a through-hull multifunction transducer for depth, speed, and temperature. The system is interconnected via an NMEA2000 network for simplified data integration.
Display and visibility
The FI70’s 4.1-inch color screen has a QVGA resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Its bonded technology eliminates internal condensation and improves contrast, ensuring readability in full sunlight with a typical brightness of 700 cd/m². Day and Night modes adjust screen lighting to ambient conditions, minimizing nighttime glare.
Connectivity and robustness
NMEA2000 (CAN bus) connectivity simplifies integration of the FI70PK1 with other marine electronic equipment. The display unit is powered at 15 VDC via the CAN bus, with a maximum consumption of 0.15 A (LEN3) or 0.25 A. The FI70 housing has an IPx6 waterproof rating, protecting it against high-pressure water jets. It operates in a temperature range from -15°C to +55°C. Dimensions are 115 (H) x 115 (L) x 32 (D) mm, with a weight of 0.29 kg.
Extended pack features
The FI70PK1 pack displays a wide range of data, including speed (STW, SOG, VMG), wind (AWS, TWS, AWA, TWA, Beaufort scale, GWD), heading (HDG, ROT, COG), navigation (Bearing, Distance, Waypoint, XTE, Position, ETA, Trip, Odometer), boat data (rudder angle, flaps, heel/trim), engine information, tank levels, depth, AIS targets (if an AIS is connected to the NMEA2000 network), voltage, and environmental data. The included DST810 transducer allows wireless connection to the Airmar CAST app for easy speed calibration.
