Detailed description
The FURUNO IMD03230001PK1 pack provides a complete autopilot solution for optimized navigation. It includes an indicator, a computer, a wireless remote control, and a Minigyro 2-axis compass PG700. This system is designed to deliver precise and adaptive control of your vessel’s heading.
NAVpilot 300 Autopilot: Adaptive Technology
The core of the system is the NAVpilot 300 autopilot, featuring adaptive software with a self-learning algorithm. It continuously optimizes autopilot performance by reacting to the boat’s parameters and environmental conditions (speed, trim, sea state, wind). The system is compatible with planing and semi-displacement outboard-powered vessels from 24 to 50 feet, equipped with one to four outboard engines. It integrates Fantum Feedback™ technology, eliminating the need for a physical rudder feedback unit in outboard installations, simplifying installation.
Advanced Features for Fishing and Navigation
The FURUNO NAVpilot 300 offers specialized navigation modes via the FishHunter™ Drive function. The SABIKI™ mode maintains a rearward heading while compensating for wind and current, ideal for Sabiki fishing, jigging, or bottom fishing. The Point Lock™ mode holds the boat’s position via helm and throttle control. The Speed Control function maintains a preset speed, adjusting engine RPM according to conditions. Preprogrammed maneuvers such as Zig-Zag, Orbit, Figure 8, and Spiral are also available around a specified target. The system also includes SAFE HELM for temporary manual helm override and POWER ASSIST for helm assistance activated from the control station.
Heading Accuracy with PG700 Compass
The FURUNO PG700 Minigyro 2-axis compass provides a stable and precise heading source. It combines a fluxgate magnetic sensor with a solid-state gyroscope for improved stability and accuracy. The PG700 delivers heading accuracy of ±1.0° (horizontal) and a resolution of 0.1°. It features automatic magnetic field distortion correction and is maintenance-free. Its CAN bus interface is NMEA 2000 compatible, providing reliable heading data to connected devices.
Integration and Technical Specifications
The 4.1-inch indicator offers a clear interface and is rated IP67 for water resistance. The system operates on 12–24 V DC, with a continuous current draw of 10 A and a peak current of 20 A for 5 seconds. Primary connectivity is via NMEA 2000, and the remote control uses Bluetooth. The processor weighs 1.5 kg, while the indicator is lightweight (0.22 kg for bracket mount, 0.43 kg for flush mount). The system is compatible with Volvo IPS and Yamaha HelmMaster, except for incompatibility with Volvo Penta IPS when the Volvo Marine Leisure app is loaded. Note that this autopilot does not offer a Wind mode.
