Designed for marine networks requiring reliable connectivity and power delivery to equipment, the NETGEAR GS308PP is an 8-port Gigabit unmanaged PoE+ Ethernet switch. It provides a plug-and-play solution for integrating various devices into FURUNO navigation systems, including NavNet TZtouch multifunction displays such as the TZTL12F, TZTL15F, TZT2BB, TZT12F, TZT16F, and TZT19F.
Gigabit PoE+ Connectivity
This switch features 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports (RJ45) supporting speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbps. All ports are PoE+ compliant (IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at), delivering up to 30W per port with a standard total PoE budget of 83W. NETGEAR’s FlexPoE technology allows increasing this budget to 123W via an optional 130W power supply (sold separately). Automatic PoE power management distributes power according to the specific needs of each connected device.
Performance and Design
With a switching bandwidth of 16 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 1.44 Mpps, the NETGEAR GS308PP ensures maximum non-blocking throughput. Its fanless design ensures silent operation, suitable for noise-sensitive environments. The robust metal housing provides durability, while features such as Jumbo frame support (9,216 bytes), 802.1p QoS, and Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) optimize performance and power consumption. It is compatible with various mounting options (desktop, wall).
