OP26-29 front-mount kit for FI70

The FURUNO OP26-29 front-mount kit is an accessory designed to simplify the installation of the Furuno FI-70 instrumentation display. It is particularly suited to marine environments where access behind the dashboard or console is limited, allowing front-panel integration of the display without requiring complex disassembly of the installation area.

Simplified and secure installation

Installation of the OP26-29 kit is designed to be straightforward. It involves cutting a precise opening using a provided template. Mounting pins are then attached to the FI-70 display, and the front mounting panel is secured with self-tapping screws. The FI-70 display is then inserted into the panel, locking into place with a "click" mechanism that ensures stable and secure retention. It is important to note that the recessed mounting gasket, usually supplied with the FI-70 display, must not be used with this kit, as it would prevent the unit from locking correctly into the front panel.

Compatibility with the FURUNO FI-70 instrumentation display

This kit is specifically intended for the Furuno FI-70 instrumentation display, a 4.1-inch color LCD display with QVGA resolution (320 x 240 pixels). The FI-70 display measures 115 x 115 x 32 mm and weighs 0.29 kg. It features a bonded display for visibility in direct sunlight and condensation-free operation. The unit meets IP56 or IPX6 waterproofing standards, protecting it against high-pressure water jets, ensuring durable integration in a marine environment. The FI-70 is powered via a CAN bus (NMEA2000) at 15 Vdc, with a maximum current draw of 0.25 A. It is compatible with Furuno’s NavNet TZtouch/TZtouch2 and NAVpilot 711C systems, and can integrate older analog sensors via the optional IF-NMEAFI converter.
