The FURUNO PP-900 thermal printer is an accessory designed to complement Furuno’s marine navigation and communication equipment, including the NX-900 NAVTEX receivers, GP-170 GPS units, and FE-800 fishfinders. It enables printing of maritime safety messages and other critical data. This unit facilitates documentation of navigation alerts, weather warnings, and search and rescue (SAR) information received by the NX-900.
Connectivity and System Integration
The PP-900 connects to the NX-900 receiver via an RS-232C port, ensuring reliable data transmission. It includes a power supply function, allowing the printer to be powered directly from the NX-900. This integration simplifies wiring and installation on board. Its external design offers installation flexibility, allowing the printer to be positioned separately from the receiver to optimize bridge layout.

Weighing 0.76 kg (1.7 lb), the PP-900 has an IP20 protection rating, making it suitable for installation in sheltered environments. It uses TP058-30CL thermal paper for printing. The 08S004140 data cable is an optional accessory required for connection. An OP08-22 flush-mount kit is also available as an option for flush integration with the NX-900.
