The FURUNO XN10A 3.5’ beam antenna is a critical component designed for marine radar systems, providing advanced detection capabilities for navigation and fishing. This 3.5-foot (approximately 107 cm) open array antenna is compatible with a range of Furuno radar housings and pedestals, including models FR8065, FR8125, DRS6AXNT, DRS6AXCLASS, DRS12A, DRS6AX, DRS12ANXT, DRS25ANXT, as well as radar systems in the 1762/1933 series.

Features and Performance

When integrated with a compatible radar system, the XN10A antenna enables specific functions such as SART and RACON detection for maritime safety. The Bird Mode is optimized for locating fishing grounds by tracking bird movements. Dual Range and Target Tracking™ functions allow precise target tracking. The system also features Target Analyzer™, which uses Doppler technology to instantly identify hazardous targets by color-coding them (red for approaching targets, green for stationary or receding targets).

Fast Target Tracking™ and Auto Target Acquire enable rapid tracking and automatic acquisition of up to 100 targets, displaying their vectors within seconds to assist in collision avoidance. The RezBoost™ Beam Sharpening technology enhances resolution for better target separation on the radar display. Its horizontal beam width ranges from 1.4° to 2.3°.

Technical Specifications and Integration

The XN10A antenna operates on a 24V power supply. Its weight is approximately 6.35 kg (14 lbs). When paired with a compatible radar system, it enables a maximum range of 48 nautical miles. Newer radar systems, when used with this antenna, can provide a lighter and quieter setup with an improved low-noise motor. Some of these systems simplify installation by eliminating the need for a separate power unit.
