Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for demanding marine applications, the Garmin 010-12006-11 transom-mount bracket secures Garmin 4-, 8-, or 12-pin compatible transducers. This bracket is engineered to deliver optimal fishfinder performance even at high speeds, incorporating splash protection.
Optimizing fishfinder performance
Unlike standard transom brackets, Garmin’s 010-12006-11 features a low-drag splash screen. This technical feature blocks excessive water spray generated by the transducer, ensuring excellent fishfinder signal returns at all speeds when the transducer remains submerged. The bracket also allows precise transducer angle adjustment to keep it parallel to the water surface, maximizing data clarity and reliability.
Mounting options and considerations
This bracket can be installed on a boat’s transom or in a keel notch. Installation is simplified with the included screws. Note that if the transducer is mounted in a keel notch to reduce drag and lifts out of the water during planing, the fishfinder will lose bottom tracking. For continuous bottom tracking at all speeds, a transom mount that keeps the transducer submerged is recommended. This bracket provides a more robust and higher-performance solution than simple mounting brackets, particularly for fast boats or those operating in rough waters.
