Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for fiberglass and metal hulls, the intelligent through-hull transducer Garmin 010-00701-00 provides depth and temperature data directly via an NMEA 2000 connection. This Intelliducer operates at a frequency of 160 kHz with a power output of 150 W, enabling accurate depth readings down to 274 meters (900 feet).
Integration and technical performance
The NMEA 2000 integration of this transducer simplifies installation by eliminating the need for a dedicated sounder module, displaying numerical depth and temperature data directly on compatible Garmin displays within the network. Its tilted element is specifically adapted to hull deadrise angles from 0 to 12 degrees, ensuring optimal accuracy. The required drilling diameter is 51 mm, and the transducer comes with an NMEA 2000 cable and a T-connector for easy connection to the existing network.
Positioning within the Garmin range
The 010-00701-00 transducer differs from NMEA 0183 models (such as the 010-00702-xx series) by its NMEA 2000 interface, favoring a modern network architecture. It is optimized for low hull deadrise angles (0-12°), unlike the 010-00701-01 version which covers angles from 13-24°. This positioning makes it a targeted solution for vessels with low deadrise hulls seeking an "all-in-one" solution for depth and temperature data without the addition of a Black Box unit.
