Positioned within the STRIKER™ Vivid series, this 7-inch model stands out with its vivid color palettes that optimize sonar image interpretation. It integrates a high-sensitivity GPS and Wi-Fi features for improved connectivity.
Advanced Sonar Capabilities and GT52HW-TM Transducer
Equipped with the GT52HW-TM transducer, the STRIKER™ Vivid 7sv delivers detailed images thanks to its CHIRP traditional wide-beam (High-Wide), CHIRP ClearVü, and CHIRP SideVü sonar technologies. The traditional CHIRP sonar provides excellent target separation and enhanced clarity, while the ClearVü and SideVü sonars enable near-photographic visualization of structures and fish below and to the sides of your vessel. The Vivid color palette options significantly improve contrast and target distinction, a key feature of the STRIKER™ Vivid range compared to previous STRIKER™ models.
Integrated Navigation and Connectivity
The STRIKER™ Vivid 7sv integrates a high-sensitivity GPS module that allows marking waypoints, creating routes, and displaying boat speed. While lacking detailed chartplotter capabilities like Garmin’s ECHOMAP™ or GPSMAP® series, it is ideal for returning to top fishing spots. The 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity (with a maximum power of 1.8 dBm) facilitates data sharing and software updates via the ActiveCaptain app. Additionally, its optional blue and brown wires enable data sharing with other ECHOMAP™ or STRIKER™ devices, enhancing its integration within a Garmin ecosystem.
Installation and Marine Reliability
Designed for marine environments, the STRIKER™ Vivid 7sv operates on 12 Vdc and is protected by a 3.0 A fuse. Its safe distance from a compass is 40 cm (15.75 in), an important factor for interference-free installation. Mounting is facilitated by a fixed or swivel bracket, depending on the variant, and a robust design suitable for maritime conditions.
