Detailed description
Detailed description
Specifically designed for Garmin GPSMAP 8400 and 8600 chartplotters, this Garmin USB cable (part number 010-12390-10) provides essential connectivity between your marine navigation device and a computer. With a length of 4.5 metres (15 feet), it ensures stable and reliable connection in a marine environment.
Advanced Integration and Control
This USB cable allows you to connect your Garmin GPSMAP 8400 or 8600 chartplotter to a compatible Apple® or Windows® computer (7, 8 or 10). Once connected, it turns your chartplotter screen into a touch interface for your computer, enabling not only mirrored display of the computer content, but also direct interaction via the GPSMAP touchscreen. You can navigate your computer applications and even use its virtual keyboard directly from the chartplotter screen.
Marine Design and Installation Requirements
Featuring a water-resistant design, this cable is suitable for marine conditions. For full functionality, including video output from the computer to the chartplotter, a compatible HDMI cable (sold separately) is required. Garmin recommends making all cable connections in a dry environment. If a length greater than 4.5 metres is needed, using a USB hub or a USB repeater extension cable is advised to maintain signal integrity.
