Designed for the integration of the Integrel E-Power/E-Drive system, the Integrel mounting bracket for YANMAR JH-CR allows the onboard E-POWER generator (OEG) to be installed directly on Yanmar JH-CR marine diesel engines. This bracket facilitates the replacement of traditional generators by using the excess power from the main propulsion engine to produce electrical energy, stored in a 48V battery bank.
Integration and energy production
The bracket is mounted at the front of the Yanmar JH-CR engine, adding less than 150 mm to the axial length of the engine and gearbox. The Integrel E-Power system, made possible by this bracket, includes two intelligent controllers configured to operate in harmony with the engine and battery system, an Integrel E-Power display for data visualization (OEG, engine, batteries), and a smart switch for power and data transfer. The system is internally tested and manages OEG performance to prevent engine overload.
Capabilities and benefits
A simple E-Power system can generate up to 9 kW of power, or up to 18 kW for a dual configuration on multihulls, with typical output of 7 to 8 kW depending on engine compartment temperature. The E-Drive system, in turn, can produce up to 15 kW or a maximum of 30 amps. This solution is compatible with Yanmar JH-CR engines from 40 to 110 hp. It offers fully automatic power management, optimizing engine operation for maximum efficiency and enabling fuel savings of up to 25%. Additional benefits include reduced emissions, quiet operation, and minimal maintenance requirements. The system integrates via the Yanmar engine’s J1939 diagnostic port for direct connection to a chartplotter.
