Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for powerboats and adaptable to sailboats, the LCJ Capteurs CV7V-BARO ultrasonic wind transducer/vane anemometer provides apparent wind data and atmospheric pressure. This sensor uses ultrasonic technology, with no moving parts, ensuring robustness and long-term accuracy. It integrates a barometer for measuring atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature, useful for marine weather analysis.
Accurate and reliable measurements
The CV7V-BARO measures wind speed from 0.25 to 80 knots (0.13 to 41.16 m/s) with a sensitivity of 0.25 knots and a resolution of 0.1 knots. Wind direction is measured with an accuracy of ±1° and a resolution of 1°, using four ultrasonic measurement vectors. Wind and temperature data are transmitted at a rate of 2 Hz. The device communicates via NMEA 0183 (MWV, XDR sentences) with a configurable baud rate of 4800 or 38400 baud/sec.
Design and integration
This sensor features a 30 cm (Ø 16 mm) vertical aluminum arm, facilitating installation on horizontal surfaces such as cabin roofs, radar arches, or flybridges. The mount is compatible with Glomex© fittings. The LCJ Capteurs CV7V-BARO operates on 8 to 30 V DC power, with a consumption of 9 to 12 mA. It is designed to function in temperatures from -15°C to +55°C and has an IP67 waterproof rating. The integrated barometer can be calibrated using a local reference weather station. Manufactured in France, this sensor comes with a 25-meter cable.
