The Lowrance Elite FS 9 is a combined GPS chartplotter and fishfinder that integrates advanced features in an accessible format. Designed for demanding anglers, it bridges the gap between the consumer-grade Hook Reveal series and the professional HDS LIVE lineup. Its 9-inch multi-touch screen delivers excellent readability with brightness exceeding 1200 nits, though its 800x480-pixel resolution is more standard compared to HDS models.
Ethernet network power
The main feature of the Elite FS (Fishing System) series is its single Ethernet port. This connectivity, absent in lower-tier series, enables a complete ecosystem of Lowrance instruments. You can connect a real-time sonar module ActiveTarget to observe fish reactions to your lure, a Lowrance Halo radar for safe navigation, or even a second Elite FS screen for remote display. This network capability places it in direct competition with Garmin’s ECHOMAP UHD or Humminbird’s HELIX series.
Complete performance and connectivity
Beyond networking, the Elite FS 9 is an extremely capable navigation and detection tool. It features a 10 Hz GPS receiver (WAAS, MSAS, EGNOS, GLONASS compatible) for smooth and precise positioning. The NMEA 2000 port allows engine data integration, connection to an outboard autopilot, or display of external sensor data. Built-in Wi-Fi simplifies software updates and data synchronization with the Lowrance mobile app. This model is sold without a transducer, giving you the freedom to choose the most suitable transducer for your needs: Active Imaging 3-in-1 for high-quality SideScan and DownScan views, or the full ActiveTarget system for a premium fishing experience.
