The Lowrance Ghost 60" electric motor is designed for freshwater fishing, featuring a brushless motor for ultra-quiet operation and increased energy efficiency. This model, with a 60-inch shaft length, is compatible with 24 V DC or 36 V DC power systems and delivers a maximum thrust of 120 lbs at 36 V or 97 lbs at 24 V. It positions itself as a high-performance alternative to traditional brushed motors, offering specifications comparable to premium models in terms of power and integration.
Integrated Fishfinder and Connectivity
The Ghost 60" comes with a pre-installed HDI transducer in the nose cone, supporting traditional 200 kHz High CHIRP sonar, 83 kHz Medium CHIRP, as well as DownScan imaging at 455 kHz and 800 kHz. An upgrade to an optional Active Imaging™ 3-in-1 transducer is available to access Lowrance CHIRP, SideScan, and DownScan Imaging technologies. Sonar data display requires a compatible Lowrance multifunction display, such as the HDS Pro, HDS Live, HDS Carbon, or Elite FS models, via an NMEA 2000 connection. The motor also includes Bluetooth connectivity for pairing and control.
Precise Steering and Advanced Features
The Fly-By-Wire steering system provides instant and precise control, mimicking the feel of a cable-steered motor without the physical constraints. For navigation, the motor includes an internal GPS and an external TROLLING MOTOR COMPASS-1 (TMC-1). The control pedal is highly configurable with programmable buttons, a "Flip Switch" for left/right-hand use, a battery level indicator, and quick-access buttons for Anchor and Heading modes. These buttons can also be set to save waypoints or control Power-Pole anchors. The included TMR-1 remote allows wireless control of speed, direction, and Anchor mode from anywhere on the boat.
Robust Design and Ease of Use
The Ghost’s design features a 360° detachable mount that absorbs impacts and automatically repositions the shaft in case of obstruction. A dual-action gas spring facilitates silent deployment and stowage with automatic alignment for secure storage. The motor’s composite shaft is backed by a lifetime warranty, while the motor itself carries a three-year warranty. This motor is specifically designed for freshwater use, with the option to add a sacrificial anode for brackish water. The brushless motor eliminates electromagnetic interference, ensuring clear, unobstructed sonar views.
