The Marinco M5100B9R shore power inlet is a watertight and robust connection designed for marine electrical systems. This male plug with pins and sockets supports 100 amperes at 120/208 volts in a three-phase Y configuration (4 poles, 5 wires).
Design and Materials
The M5100B9R inlet is constructed from materials resistant to marine environments. The housing and flange are made from a nylon and ABS blend, while the pin carrier is nylon. The pins are solid brass with nickel plating for optimized conductivity and corrosion resistance. The stud-type terminals feature double nickel-plated brass screws, accommodating 1/0 to 3 AWG cables.
Safety and Compliance
With an IP67 ingress protection rating per IEC 60529, the Marinco M5100B9R inlet provides protection against temporary immersion when its spring-loaded cap is secured. It is cULus certified (Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. listed for the United States and Canada) under file E106703. This product meets ABYC, NMMA, and U.S. Coast Guard standards, ensuring reliability in marine applications.
