The Mastervolt AC Master 12/3500 inverter converts 12 V battery voltage to a stable 230/240 V AC supply at 50/60 Hz. It delivers a pure sine wave suitable for sensitive electronics and variable-speed motors. With a continuous power output of 3500 W at 40 °C and a peak load capacity of up to 6000 W (for 0.2 s), it handles demanding start-ups.
Performance and features
This inverter achieves 90 % efficiency with low no-load power consumption: less than 3.6 A in active mode and 1.4 A in energy-saving mode at 12 V. It includes a transfer system that switches between inverter and AC input in 8–10 ms, or from AC input to inverter in 16–50 ms. Typical harmonic distortion is below 3 %.
The AC Master 12/3500 features an energy-saving mode to extend battery life and can be configured in master/slave mode. It supports parallel configurations of 2 to 15 units to increase output power, or three-phase systems with up to 3 units (one per phase).
Design and system integration
Measuring 283 x 128 x 496 mm and weighing 10 kg, the inverter is designed for hard-wired installation. It accepts a battery voltage range of 10.0 V to 16.0 V and requires a minimum DC fuse of 400 A and cable cross-section of 120 mm². The protection rating is IP21 for horizontal wall mounting.
The unit includes protections against overheating, overload, short circuits, high/low battery voltage, and AC overcurrents. It operates in ambient temperatures from -20 °C to 60 °C, with power derating above 35 °C. MasterBus compatibility is available via an optional interface for remote control.
