Designed for recreational and semi-professional applications, the pure sine wave inverter Mastervolt AC Master 24/2500 converts 24 V battery voltage into stable 230/240 V AC power at 50/60 Hz. It delivers continuous power of 2500 W at 40 °C, with peak load capacities up to 3000 W for 3 seconds and 4000 W for 0.2 seconds, protecting sensitive electronic equipment.
Performance and technical features
This inverter features pure sine wave technology for stable power quality and 88 % efficiency. It includes an integrated transfer system with fast switching times of 8 to 10 ms from inverter to AC input, and 16 to 50 ms from AC input to inverter. The Mastervolt AC Master 24/2500 also offers an automatic energy-saving mode to optimize battery consumption.
Installation and safety
With dimensions of 283 x 436 x 128 mm (H x W x D) and a weight of 8 kg, this inverter is designed for wired installation with an AU/NZ type AC connection. It offers IP21 protection when mounted horizontally on a wall, with an ambient temperature range of -20 °C to 60 °C (derating above 35 °C). Built-in protections against overheating, overload, short circuits, high/low battery voltages, and AC overcurrents ensure safe operation. The AC input is protected by a 20 A circuit breaker. For DC wiring, a minimum cross-section of 50 mm² is recommended for the 24 V battery input.
System configuration flexibility
The Mastervolt AC Master 24/2500 can be configured in parallel with 2 to 15 units to increase output power, or in a three-phase system with a maximum of 3 units (one per phase). It is equipped with CAN1 and CAN2 ports, an LCM port, and DIP switches for configuring parameters such as AC output voltage and frequency, energy-saving mode, or master/slave operation. A chassis ground terminal must be connected to the boat/vehicle’s central ground point.
