Detailed description
Detailed description
The Navico ForwardScan Long-Stem Fairing Block (part number 000-13579-001) is an essential component designed to optimize the installation of the ForwardScan Long-Stem transducer. This fairing block ensures a level mounting of the transducer, guaranteeing the accuracy of forward-scan sonar data.
Installation and compatibility
This fairing block is specifically designed for hulls with a maximum thickness of 47.6 mm (1 7/8 inches). It can be adjusted to fit hulls with a deadrise angle of up to 28 degrees, making it compatible with a variety of boat types. It is designed to integrate with a standard 2-inch stainless steel through-hull fitting, allowing for transducer installation and removal even when the boat is in the water.
ForwardScan system functionality
By supporting the ForwardScan transducer, this block enables access to the advanced capabilities of the forward-scan sonar system. The ForwardScan system provides real-time depth information ahead of the vessel, displaying the seabed up to 8 times the current depth, with a typical operational range of 4 to 5 times the depth. Operating at 180 kHz, it reduces interference with traditional 200 kHz sounders. ForwardScan data is compatible with NSS Evo2, NSO Evo2, and Zeus2 displays after a software update.
