Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for underwater detection, the NAVICO HST-DFSBL sonar transducer is a transom-mounted dual-frequency 50/200 kHz transducer with an integrated temperature sensor. It uses a single internal broadband ceramic for accurate depth and temperature readings.
Sonar Performance
This transducer operates at 50 kHz and 200 kHz frequencies. The 50 kHz frequency delivers a maximum depth of 914 meters (3000 feet) with a 29° beam width, suitable for deep-water detection. The 200 kHz frequency provides detailed resolution up to 304 meters (1000 feet) with a 12° beam width, ideal for fish identification and bottom structure in shallower waters. The transmit power is 600 watts.
Design and Installation
The HST-DFSBL model is primarily designed for transom mounting but is also compatible with through-hull installation via a thru-hull fitting. Its plastic housing and transom-mount bracket with a "lift-up" design are engineered to minimize accidental damage. The transducer comes with a 6-meter (20-foot) cable and connects via a 7-pin blue connector. It is compatible with Lowrance HDS units, SonarHub modules, and Simrad NSS evo2 and NSS sport multifunction displays, as well as other B&G devices with the same connector.
Environmental Specifications
The transducer operates in a temperature range of 0°C to +50°C (32°F to +122°F) and can be stored from -30°C to +70°C (-22°F to +158°F). Its weight without the cable is 0.37 kg (0.81 lbs). The transducer can maintain reliable readings up to 60 knots (70 mph) when properly installed on the transom in an undisturbed water flow.
