Detailed description
Detailed description
The RF25N mechanically measures the rudder angle and transmits this position over the NMEA 2000 network via PGN 127245. It is intended for compatible systems that use a physical rudder angle feedback.
Measurement and connection
Its mechanical range is ±120°. The stated accuracy is ±0.25° within the ±5° zone, then ±0.5° beyond that, with a repeatability of ±0.1°. The 5.5 m NMEA 2000 Micro-C cable provides power and data transmission.
Marine installation
The sensor operates on 8 to 16 V via NMEA 2000, consumes 0.4 W (LEN 1), and has IP56 protection. It can be mounted horizontally, vertically, or upside down. The 345 mm stainless-steel linkage and its two ball joints are included; installation must respect the geometry and travel limits specified in the installation guide.
