Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for advanced underwater detection, the Navico StructureScan 3D L/H Through-Hull transducer is a versatile fishfinder for freshwater and saltwater anglers. It provides detailed three-dimensional visualization of the underwater environment, making it easier to identify fish, structures, and bottom contours. This transducer requires a StructureScan® 3D module (sold separately) to operate.
Integrated Sonar Technologies
The fishfinder integrates multiple imaging technologies, including StructureScan® 3D, DownScan Imaging™, and SideScan. It also offers CHIRP sonar capabilities at low and high frequencies. The system uses an exclusive 3-channel beam for SideScan coverage port and starboard, DownScan Imaging™, and 3D imaging technology. Two frequencies are available: 455 kHz for extended range and 800 kHz for higher definition. The transmission power is 500W RMS and 4000W peak, with a target separation of 38.1 mm (1.5").
Performance and Range
In SideScan mode, the fishfinder can scan up to 183 meters (600 feet) on each side of the boat at 455 kHz, providing a total coverage of 366 meters (1200 feet). The DownScan depth reaches up to 92 meters (300 feet). For individual frequencies, the maximum range is 500 feet (250 feet per side) at 455 kHz and 300 feet (150 feet per side) at 800 kHz. The maximum depth is 300 feet at 455 kHz and 100 feet at 800 kHz. The transducer supports bottom tracking at speeds up to 88 km/h (55 mph), with the ability to mark objects at speeds up to 56 km/h (35 mph). The optimal speed for detailed imaging is 16 km/h (10 mph) or less.
Design and Installation
Made from robust and discreet stainless steel, this fishfinder is designed to withstand the electrical forces of the marine environment and minimize drag. It is rated IPX-7 for water resistance. Installation is through-hull and can be done flush-mounted or with an included fairing block. For hulls with a pronounced or variable deadrise angle (greater than 5°), using a pair of transducers is recommended for continuous visualization. The transducer cable measures 7.6 meters (25 feet). The operating temperature range is -28° to 75° C (-20° to 167° F). The system requires a 12 or 24 V DC power supply (max. range 9 V to 32 V DC).
