Detailed description
The NAVICO StructureScan 3D module provides detailed underwater 3D views. It uses multi-beam technology to generate 3D images of the underwater environment and structures. This module also enhances the performance of 2D DownScan Imaging and StructureScan HD views.
Performance and features
This module operates at a frequency of 455 kHz, offering a maximum depth of 200 feet in DownScan and a SideScan range up to 600 feet (180 meters) on each side of the boat. The transmit power reaches 500 W RMS (4000 W peak). The module includes features such as ScanTrack™ Control for adjusting underwater view perspectives, Leading Edge™ Scanning Reference for clear sonar beam illustration, and SelectScan™ Target Identification, which highlights targets in contrasting color. Vertical Enhancement emphasizes depth contour changes, and 3D Waypoint Overlay facilitates marking and revisiting fishing areas.
Integration and technical specifications
The NAVICO StructureScan 3D module is powered by 12 V DC, with an input voltage range of 10 to 17 V DC. Its maximum current draw is 0.75 A (0.60 A typical, 4.7 A peak at startup). It features three integrated Ethernet ports, allowing connection and data sharing with up to three networked devices. The housing meets IPX7 waterproofing standards, with dimensions of 8 1/16" (L) x 8 1/8" (H) x 2 1/4" (D) and a weight of 0.8 kg (1.8 lbs). It operates within a temperature range of -15°C to +55°C and can be stored from -40°C to +85°C. This module is compatible with Lowrance HDS Gen3 displays and Simrad NSS evo2, NSO evo2, NSS evo3, and NSO evo3 navigation systems. A compatible StructureScan 3D transducer (transom-mount or thru-hull) is required and sold separately.
