Detailed description
Detailed description
Designed for detailed underwater imaging, the NAVICO StructureScan Dual thru-hull transducer (Stainless Steel) delivers SideScan and DownScan Imaging™ capabilities. This dual-transducer system in stainless steel is optimized for hulls with pronounced or variable keel angles, minimizing drag and ensuring peak performance.
Advanced underwater imaging
The NAVICO StructureScan Dual transducer operates at 455 kHz and 800 kHz frequencies. The 455 kHz frequency provides greater range and depth, reaching up to 152 meters (500 feet) to each side in SideScan and a maximum depth of 92 meters (300 feet). The 800 kHz frequency offers higher image definition with a SideScan range of 91 meters (300 feet) to each side and a maximum depth of 30 meters (100 feet).
Design and technical performance
This transducer achieves a target separation of 38.1 mm (1.5 inches). It operates with a 500W RMS (4000W peak) transmit power and requires a 12V DC power supply, with an input voltage range of 10V to 17V. Maximum current draw is 0.75A. Communication with the StructureScan system is via Ethernet, supporting up to 3 shared devices. The transducer cable is 6 meters (20 feet) long and is supplied with a 7.6-meter (25-foot) Y-cable.
Installation and durability
The stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance and protection against electrical forces in the marine environment, extending service life. Its IPx7 waterproof rating ensures protection against temporary immersion. The thru-hull installation, with the option for flush or fairing block mounting, allows for discreet and high-performance integration on the vessel. The system can track the bottom at speeds up to 88 km/h (55 mph), with optimal performance at 16 km/h (10 mph) or less for precise object marking.
